WALLS my best-friend

The only person who listens to me but never complains is you my four-cornered wall.

Thanks for being my side all the time,
when I was sad, happy, goofy, angry whatever it was.
you heard my nonstop
Walls that were built to protect from the evils of the world
Walls with masks hanging
The thicker the walls become
Effectively deterring anyone from getting close
Everywhere there are secrets
some are dark, some light
Some best kept out of sight
Some are better left unsaid
Sounds of laughter and of moans
Fighting behind bedroom doors
These walls, these comfortable walls,
they keep me company,
I no longer feel pain.
The conversation is just between me and my wall.

  1. How wonderful it is when the wall is alive, silent protector, obedient and understanding, regardless of our mood… πŸ™‚

  2. Finding yourself, in the solitude of your silence, is the best additive to understand yourself better. Nothing like looking for the magnetic groove of your truth when you build your own world. There you can rebuild your life without interference from others.
I loved your poem. A reflection of inner life with intense verses. Good for you. Your poetry is magnificent.

      1. I noticed your writings have atleast one scenareo of your life connecting with parents, events pasts, that is a great way to share the thoughts, so by that one day in future you will feel to be connected with that memory… Keep writing… Nancy.. God bless you. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ˜‰ Cheers
