Dining table talk…

Isn’t dining means a good family time
all food set on the table
mother severing each one of us
each and everyone is excited and alive
mom and dad flirt like they’re dating
me and my brother playing around
tell me how your day was
how was school, how was work
fish, again? mom?
mom, “I did my best, I’m tired”.
do you guys like it?
should I give you some more
eat know
shut up, tom!
don’t leave anything on your plate
finish it, then only you will get icecream
the silence, the laughter, the eye contact.
how cute is that isn’t it?

  1. Nancy, it is wonderful when the family gathers for meals and talks! Sometimes that is lost when everyone goes their own way and just grabs some fast food rather than sharing a meal. I enjoyed this post. It brings back some pleasant memories.

    Take care.

  2. The table should bring the family together, bring them together, so that the children have something to remember later and transfer the custom in their own families.
    best regards
