LEAVING HOME

Initially, it was a dream to move out

the next thing I remember I’m out.

God, forbid I didn’t know it was so tough.

Its time to leave my nest,

bags packed, I feel the pain in my chest.

I looked up, I could see a big blue sky

I wondered what if I could fly?

Hugged my dad, kissed my mom,

took my bags, passport in my hand

ready to take my flight

new city, new vibe.

Terrified and petrified I was

I looked around

I was scared

I was ready to face challenges

I cried, I laughed

I sang, I danced

I’m no longer scared.

Even if I fall, I know I’ll to get up

I’ll dust myself, wear my favorite dress

and move on.

  1. Spread your wings.. and fly…

You just have to take the courage to leave the comfort , protected and the security of your nest…

    And test your wings….

Good luck. You can do it
